Hammams and Rossuls
A ‘hammam’ is a tiled steam room which is usually dimly lit. It can seat up to four people or more. At health and beauty spas, clients steam in hammams after being coated in mud treatments.
The Hammam concept originated in Turkey. Visits to the Turkish hammam usually includes resting on marble slabs enjoying the dense steam treatment followed by a luxurious and rigorous soap wash and olive oil massage.
A “Rasul” is the venue at which traditional Arabian body treatments involving steam and mud take place. These treatments prime your body for a more effective massage by soothing and warming your muscles, and softening your skin.
Scandi Spa can assist in giving your establishment a bespoke advantage with the addition of a Hammam or Rasul.
